[Imc-africa] Where we are with preparation for the WSF-IMC

Yes Peter! That is right including the delegation that SA will wish they could
send to Nairobi. The experience with the first contact with unverteilung, and
we are surely going to get the same problem with other funders is that it is
alot easier when you give funders a list of names and the cost of the tickets.
Some funders seem to prefer to pay the airline company directly and have  you
just pick the ticket; in so doing they do not have to give you cash. And the
situation is alot complex because there is a NETWORK RULE that you 
cannot write
any document or make any request to any organization for money or 
anthing in the
name of "the whole indymedia network". So you have to have local indymedia
groups present the request to funders in their areas and this too is
complicated because lots of indymedias do not have "government registrations",
it makes funders a bit slow to donate to, as they cannot get the money back in
deductions from the state etc.
With the list, one can write a request to the foundation saying:
We need to get "these people" from "these countries" to nairobi to help with
the WSF-IMC. This is the cost of their tickets from the airline company "x".
We'll greatly appretiate if you can pay for these tickets.
Normally from the Dakar exprience I know that airlines can deliver 
tickets that
have been paid for anywhere in the world.

Please check the wiki for all the info and write a fundrasing proposal to fit
the conditions of the funders you need to approach. I'm seriously down with a
headache cannot consentrate enough to handle that now.
Do inform the list, so we get a record of all what went into prep for this
event.
