Hi Peter ! You are right. We do not have and should not according to my
opinion
have any direct or indirect hierarchy which will question the indymedia MAIN
VALUE which is participation and horizontal organizing.
I think you are right that different individuals should engage in the
fundraising with organizations and groups they know, writing proposals that
deal with the concerns of the particular funders in more details. That is why
we have the archives of the list and the wiki pages to provide everybody with
enough information to be able to either do fundraising, collect equipment, or
just share ideas of what they think could improve the WSF-IMC process.

Thus Glenda, you could discuss with mechel and the other folks from indymedia
Switzerland to join the imc-africa list and bring their ideas on board as well
as start doing fundraising for the event or collect equipments. I just learnt
from Mechel that she is interest in being involve in indymedia growth in
Africa, especially after her trip to Cameroon and Ambazonia last year or so.
Kenya is surely a chance to do much in that respect.
YET I'LL ADVICE THOUGH, THAT FOR THE PURPOSE OF DOCUMENTATION AND KEEPING
EVERYONE UPDATED, IT WILL BE NICE TO DROP A LINE ON THE LIST ABOUT FUNDRAISING
INTIATIVES THAT WE MAY ENGAGE IN AS INDIVIDUALS.
Till later. I must go now.
