Hi Jay

After discussing things with other imcistas on IRC, I think it might be
better to just support kenya.indymedia.org. That way we help build up a
local IMC, instead of building a whole new site that will go dead soon
after the WSF ends.

There is a slight problem there, in that IMC Kenya was accepted in
February 2005 (look at the archives of new-imc and imc-process for that
month), but they appear to not be in the cities list. Their sponsors
were blicero and clara. I have been advised to contact
imc-commwork at lists.indymedia.org about this problem, so I'll do that.

The kenya.indymedia.org site is live, but all content is posted in the
newswire - maybe there is some technical assistance needed? I tried to
speak to Grace about how things are with their access to email and the
www site, but the phone line was just too bad to communicate. So, John,
Oloo, maybe you can answer what is the current situation with the www site?

And the imc-kenya mailing list seems to contain only spam. Oloo, you're
listed as the admin for this list - are you still checking it?

Aluta continua!
Peter
