hi all,

firstly thanks for responses for assistance for mac
streaming systems, a guy has arrived from colombia
here, hes a tek head living in switzerland, who will
do a workshop this evening with us, he also has access
to streaming servers etc, so hopefully we will be
streaming tonight, we will be making a METAVILLA
station, radio yes; hopefully vid too, we will see.

this is the next step in the project, the tek end;

on the social centre end;
burida have said they will support and with this tek
workshop and the first node set up it will be easier
to contact centres and to encourage them to set up tek
stuff to become a listening node as described at
http://wiki.radiolivre.org/Main/GLOBALRADIONODESONWSF

Harambee project
the next 2 weeks are going to be very busy and things
will be moving up to the next level; screenings;
streams here out and hopefully in; discussions and
talks about the project etc, nick has reestablished
contact from naoirobi so thats good; the monitor given
to him by the buridda social centre was confiscated at
the airport due to weight; we are trying to send out
another to him; are any of the kenya people on this
list familiar with his project; tenderfeet. and are
you familiar with kibera, is there support for the
idea of

a - recording the forum from the slum and giving
practical workshops
b - setting up streaming facilities from the slum + a
above
c - setting up a radio station there; i talked to nick
about this and he felt the goverment would not allow
it and it might cause difficulties

interested to hear your views on these proposals and
can you also tell me if you have physical spaces that
you work from that can become listening nodal zones or
is there social centres/ community centres / outside
spaces that could be approached/ used for the
projecct. if so can you give me links and a short
description if possible

ie - my own collective in ireland;
