The time of the chat is fine with me. I am in regular communication with our colleagues from Maseno university and liaise with them to ensure that at least one of them can join us. If not, then we can submit the agenda to them in advance and get their input before the chat.

here at the prometheus radio project, we are learning that it is difficult for many
folks to talk on the phone as we plan this project. we are hoping that many of you
will be available for an internet relay chat (IRC chat) at 1pm eastern daylight
time (this is 1pm in new york city, on the east coast of the united states) this
friday afternoon. that would be 8pm in nairobi, 7pm in berlin, germany, 6pm in
london, england, and 6pm in kano, nigeria.
on this IRC discussion, we can let anyone who wants to know about who prometheus is
and what we do, and what our current plan is for providing technical assistance for
the 'convergence-style' radio station. if leaders from kusumu/maseno university
can make it, this can also be an opportunity for us to meet them and to discuss
some logistics with them.
