Yeah! That is really good news :-) .

Personally I think it will be logical to transfer the money through your
account, since you?ll be the one to write the report for umverteilen on how
the money was used.
> From here we need detailed information about African delegates and the way
> how to get tickets for them.
-Since this list is publicly archive we may not wish to put people?s names as
they are in their passports here. Thus each an every one of the African
delegates should send an email to you-Fabian (fab at in-no.org ) directly with
their names as they appear in their passports. We already know them in the
list.

I really hope Bukulu was able to work things out with the others in Uganda and
can get us this info soon.
And hopefully South Africa has their delegates list ready because we?ll have
to move right away with the process of getting tickets and processing visas.
I checked with the online resources of the Kenyan diplomatic missions and they
stated that they could take as much as 3months to process visas because they
have to practically send passports sometimes to Nairobi for visas to be
issued.
I will call their embassy again tomorrow to ask for more details.
Bottom-line is
we need to get down to full speed preparation. We do not have much time left.
> In any case, can all the African delegates please get back to the list
> with definite information about whether they come to Nairobi, what they

Based on the online resources and research at the time we where doing the
numbers for the applications for funds the cheapest airline to fly to Kenya is
the Kenyan airways.
At the time the dates I used were January 7 arrival and January 27 departure.
The notion behind the dates is that if we are expecting to open the
doors of our
convergence Center and to have our radio broadcasting a week before the
forum-13th January- we need be there to build the radio and put everything
together. 7th is the last weekend before 13th.
And 27th is the Saturday after the WSF ends on Thursday.
To cut down price and also due to the changes in the cost of some of
the African
tickets I called Kenyan airway and talked with the person in charge of
sales. I
did request further reduction seeing we are buying many tickets, and are ready
to organize the other tickets for the other delegates from out of Africa
through them when we get the funds.
She asked me to send the request by email and she will try to see what
she could
do about that. I did.
> I suggest we try to avoid
> transfering money and try to buy tickets webbased whenever possible (in
> order to avoid costs).
I totally agree with you. The charges of money transfer can sometimes
be really
irritating.
Luckily Kenyan airways have a well established e-tickets system. Thus
as soon as
everything is together you?ll simply make online payments and everyone will be
able to print their tickets from online.

> looking ffw. to hear from you guys
You are so right! I?m still waiting for X-Y. I?ll call UC-IMC in the day to
find-out the state of the application we sent to them. I?ve been trying to
reach X-Y but their phone seems to have some problem or something. I?m hoping
Bonzai will stop by their office as I keep trying to reach them by phone. Ange
will surely take on finance and Jay will take on IREX. While I hope the local
IMCs will be getting back to us. Overall I?m sure we?ll pack it together.
