[Imc-africa] Future of kenya.indymedia.org

Josh and I were working with John B and Kipp from Nairobi on the
website.  My current understanding is this:

- Kenya.indymedia.org is on ahmisa, is using an old version of
sf-active, and generally is flaky and sucks.

- John B, Douglas, and others from Kenya IMC would like to post things
now and again to the website, they would also like listserv
functionality.

- Josh's friend (IMC techie - can't remember his name) has set up a
new version of the Kenya IMC site using Mirror (sp?) on an indymedia
server.

- When I left Kenya Kipp was trying to get with Josh to learn how to
use the site.  My hope is that they did some training today which is
the day they return from Maseno University.

- I promised to make sure documentation got in the hands of John B to
maintain the site.  I plan to discuss with Josh when he returns to the
states.

- In the meantime, I think the kenya.indymedia.org site should remain
- perhaps several of us should kill spam.  I know some folks offered,
but in the whirlwind of technical problems I have lost track of who
you are.  If you want to help, send me an e-mail and I will get you
admin access.  This access will be temporary - until the site is
decommissioned.
