[Imc-africa] 1 more part for inclusion on imc-org feature Re: [Fwd: [www-features] PROPOSED: The WSF and Opposition to the WEF]

  im part of the ((i)) Africa team, and added most of the stuff onto the kenya site and who pulled the intro together for the original imc-org feature. Id like to suggest one more bit ot be included in the feature, and from that ive put the feature into the docs wiki page we used to edit the last feature:

  Is it possible to include one more short paragraph which the feature currently does not mention and that we put a lot of work into: Global Listening Nodes : the attempt at connecting and enabling participation by grassroots groups outside kenya with kenya and each other during WSF, the 2 hour radio program we did on the last night (which is going out on 5 radio shows in 3 countries soon and still doing a written summary of : https://docs.indymedia.org/view/Global/WorldSocialForum2007#Summary_of_first_Global_Listenin ) 
   
  We feel this was a very important area which has, as far as i know anyway, not been explored enough or experimented with. From the first show we did, plans are currently underway for the next connection between zapatista communities in Mexico, Barcelona and Marseilles, and from that the following month looking at "ecology" between Barcelona and Brazil. We are trying to encourage the construction of this "space" or "communication system" for others to use, and will try to assist with tek for others to create their own node so they too can participate. As we stated during the WSF:
   
  It is hoped that this experiment will create a new space for global civil society to work in and out of from, both during the WSF and beyond. 
   
   
  in the original imc-org feature we phrased it as:
   
  Other IMC members are not traveling to Narobi but are staying at home to support the network by attempting to widen the discussion with the Global Listening Nodes project: a proposal to Syndicate content from different nodes in social centers and other alternative media outlets during the WSF and combine it with content from Nairobi also. A kind of global collaboration on both virtual and physical. Basically getting more social centres and other spaces to open up during WSF as local nodes around planet for people to go to to firstly listen to stuff live from kenya, but also maybe where they could have 2 way systems: being able to participate in forum without physically being there.
