Hi all ! I'm still struggling with my cool. Included is an attachment I got from
the WSF prep team about January 24.
I hope that with just a few days to go we will be able to get together; at least
a draft timetable for our activities during our entire time in Nairobi at the
Convergence-IMC Space. The draft can then be amended on the ground in Nairobi.
Rather than waiting to get there b4 working on a timetable. This far all we
kind of discussed last time were the need to get our timetable on a big board
at the Convergence IMC Space and online. We also agreed that to encourage more
face-face time for the entire group together, there will be 2 plenary meetings
a day; one in the morning and the other in evening after diner. The morning
plenary to decide on facilitators for the next day and clarify the day’s plan
while the evening plenary will give a little synopsis of the day’s activities
and then a general discussion on one of the topics we think needs be dealt with
in the presence of all.

There are workshops that will take several days and different settings like
radio, Formal Consensus training and surely the screen-printing workshops.
I’ll propose that those running these worships break them into small workshops
which can then go on the same day with other short workshops. For example; the
parts of the radio that has to do with Theory and organizing could go in one of
the evening plenary discussions allowing for enough exchange and input from all.
The same goes with the introduction to Formal Consensus or Theoretical part of
Screen-printing.

Then we have the two special days where we need to take into consideration when
drawing our own agenda; that is January 20 and January 25 which will be
official opening and closing of the World Social Forum (WSF) 2007. Considering
the mail we just go from the WSF prep group (here attached) I don’t know if we
wish to keep January 24 too less charged ??.
Looking to knowing what you think.

P.S. Please Oloo; who has administrative access to the Kenyan indymedia Site
