Hi Boud! If I’m not mistaken I think the person who set-up that website was
Blicero from indymedia Italy. I tried asking for him on irc #tech but it seems
all our geeks were asleep-you know it is day time.
I thing the site is based on oscalit or drupal but it is definitely not MIR.
And since I’ve not done much with those production systems I cannot be sure
otherwise if it were a MIR system, the person with the main admin access will
simple need to create a special login account for use during the WSF which
account can be closed there after.
I’m not sure but had expected Blicero to have given the admin password to Oloo.
Anyway, I do hope that Blicero can reply to this mail because indeed the IMC
activists in Kenya start’s effectively as of today.

i think what you mean is that a web server has been set up.

Is anyone from IMC Kenya or someone in communication with/supporting
IMC Kenya in contact with ahimsa techies? IMC Kenya is presently using
the server (computer) called "ahimsa".

If you want to use this web server during the WSF for serious open
publishing, you (IMC Kenya) will need to have people with admin access
checking for spam, racist/hate posts, 911 conspiracy theories, and all
sorts of stuff unrelated to Kenya.

i suggest you contact ahimsa techies, e.g.:

ahimsa-tech at lists.indymedia.org

http://irc.indymedia.org choose the channel #ahimsa

(Hopefully ahimsa will accept continued hosting until the end of the WSF -
in the long term you need to find a new server.)

i will ask on ahimsa if someone can fix your "apache configuration" so
that you don't need to use the IP number 216.17...
