Hola Fun Peace

hope you're well. i woulda spoken up sooner re radio, but felt like your
questions have more to do with our technical/internet capacity - which i
know nothing about - and the schedule of workshops - which is still coming
together.

but let me throw some thoughts out there
to add to what Hannah's just posted

Kenya is UTC + 3

maybe take up the question of streaming from the WSF venue itself with the
WSF organisers - the imc convergence is independent of the WSF, so our
limitations and unknowns around internet capacity don't apply to the Forum
itself.

can someone send FunPeace the email for that tech guy we were talking to
earlier about maybe getting wired up through the WSF?

i am Assistant Producer for Free Speech Radio News, and we'll have two
people covering the WSF. we haven't figured out how much audio we are likely
to produce each day, but i'll let you know as soon as we do.

depending on how much portable recording gear is available to the
imc-convergence, and how it's distributed to different
training/workshops/projects, the FSRN people could probably pair up with
folks from Kisumu/Nairobi who're new to radio and capture lots of raw audio
to upload - then folks from all over can slice, dice and caramelise.
(speaking before i've talked this over with Danielle or Norman, mind)
