greetings, IMC. My name is Molefi Ndlovu. I am anctivist based in South
Africa- SOWETO. I i got this e-mail adress from Hannah Sassaman, from
Prometheus Radio Project. She said to write to yo'll about a possibility
of assisting one ideally two comrades from the RASA radio project that
is based in SOWETO, to this years World Social Forum.
 
Rasa Fm has been actively instigating for the direct community access
to radio (indeed all forms of media). We have participated in other
prometheus innitiatives in Arusha and Da Esalam -Tanzania in 2005. Where
shared our experiences from organising in South Africa and the power of
Low Power FM movement tht could connect accross Africa where ordinary
folk could be at the forefront of creating media that is of and by
themselves as a way to resist the totalising mirror of mainstream
media.
 
We would very much like to attend the WSF to lend a hand in creating
this space where activists and media raptivists can meet, work learn and
touch each other with their plural voices.
Rasa FM would thus appeal to comrades in the media network; where a
possibility exists could you asist us to send some of our comrades to
atest and create Free media.
