[Imc-africa] IMC Kenya needs network tech support to cover the World Social Forum & Indymedia Convergence

Indymedia tech group and friends.



We need your help to reset the kenya.indymedia.org administrator
password.  Once
we have this we will be requesting to have "WSF, Kenya" added to the
upcoming coverage panel on indymedia.org.



We have many people locally involved in IMCs, but few of us have worked with
the global process - your help on how to get the above done is appreciated.



"We" is a convergence of 30+ indymedia activists, hosted by Kenya IMC,
currently in Nairobi.  We are from Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, Zimbabwe,
US, Germany and hopefully the delegates from Cameroon, Mali, and
Nigeriawill get their visa clearance to come.

We are having a great time sharing skills, building radio transmitters, and
talking about the needs of Indymedia in Africa.  But, unfortunately we are
not able to effectively share the stories we are creating because of the
state of the Kenya IMC website.  Kenya IMC confirms that there there is no
one here in Kenya who has access to the administrative password and that the
site is not being used. Please note that there has not yet been a feature
posted to the Kenya website.



We have discussed this problem for over 2 months on the IMC-Africa listserv:
lists.indymedia.org/imc-africa



The tech group has consensed to reset the password of
kenya.indymedia.orgsite so that we can post to that site during the
convergence and WSF IMC.
It has been suggested that the person who set the website up, Blicero in
Italy, give us the password.  We are not able to contact Blicero - this
option has been exhausted.


Could someone please reset this password and send to me.  Our WSF tech group
will then provide requested training to Kenya IMC delegates during the
convergence for how maintain this site.   Please send to

chyn at ucimc.org account from here.
