[Imc-africa] kenya features section - help!

Kwadronaut and all -

Thank you for your help to date.  Trying to get a feature on the IMC Kenya
site is like having your eyeball peeled.

I need help ASAP to get a feature up.  We have the password and have removed
spam anmd started posting media.  We have tons of interviews and stories in
progress, but no way to feature them.  I have not received any response from
imc-tech or imc-sys-admin so please do not tell me to go there.

K, if  you have shell access to kenya on AHSIMA, I could just hard code the
feature panel through the WSF.

Here are the problems:
1.
Most processes for the admin site seem to be linked to
kenya.indymedia.itwhich does not exist.  So when I go to promote a
story to a feature or to
make a new feature from the category list, I get a site not found error -
(dnsserver name error) for kenya.indymedia.it.  I can change the "it" to
"org" in the URL area to get into the admin site so there is a workaround
that seems to work erratically.

2.
With promoting features, after clicking on "make a feature" next to a story,
it sends me to a page to edit that feature, not promote it.  If I click
"add", it gives me a blank list where all features should be.

If I go to create a new feature, I fill out the feature form, create a
summary in HTML, but when I click "add" it brings me to an empty features
list.

What I need is for someone to go on IRC sf-active and pose this issue and
ask for support.  I am in a lovely lovely city where the power goes out
every day, where we are spending $40 a week for an internet connection that
crawls to 11KB/sec on an ISP that has killed several laptops with virus
attacks, where it took me 1 and half hours to write this e-mail.  We simply
can't get the support we need ourselves with a back and forth on e-mail.
Please, can someone get us support on the ahsima server on sf talk with
this.

Anyone can call me any time with support and I can give them admin access as
we trouble shoot.  My cell is 001 254 733 3187 75.

Also, we consensed to asking Kwadronaut, who is now empowered by the tech
group of Kenya IMC, to help fix this - if you can and promote this article:
"Indymedia Radio Support for WSF2007" to the features section both as a test
and because that is what we want to promote.  After you get one promoted we
can do the rest.  If you use some kind of work around, please send to us the
exact step by step instructions.

If we can't do this, can someone please help get us
www.indymedia.org/wsf2007?  It would be a shame to take the spotlight off
kenya indymedia which has a number of active people on the ground here (who
are not regulary on the internet answering to all concerns that they are not
on the internet - radio and print are the indymedia of much of africa, not
the web, i wish the network would wake up on this one).
