                  1. Americas SF: meeting in Guatemala will debate the 2008 event preparation
                  Between 28th and 30th March, the Hemispheric Council of Americas Social Forum (ASF) will gather in Guatemala. The agenda includes the elaboration of a working plan towards the next ASF that will take place in Guatemala in 2008, as well as the event date definition. On March 28th at night, a diffusion public act and a debate about the ASF process will take place.

                  The decision of Guatemala as the venue for the next ASF was done at the last HC meeting in Cochabamba, Bolivia, on December 2006, and confirmed after many inquiries with Guatemalan and Central American organizations.                   Continental Summit of Indigenous Peoples
                  The HC meeting takes place simultaneously to the III Continental Summit of Indigenous Nations and Pueblos of Abya Yala , from 26th to 30th March in Tecpán, Guatemala. HC participants will also follow the Summit activities and will hold meetings with local organizations.                   2. United States SF: registration is open
                  The registration for individual and organisations at the USSF is now open. See more information below, extracted from the event's site (www.ussf2007.org). The event will take place from June 27 to July 1st 2007, in Atlanta.

                  Individual registration:
                  Fee for individual registrations is:
                  Until May 1st,2007: $ 15 - $100
                  After May 1st 2007: $20 - $125


                  Registrations by mail
                  To register as individual by mail:
                  a) Access the link: http://www.ussf2007.org/files/USSF_ind_registration.pdf
                  b) Fill out the form in PDF, print it and send it along with your payment (and contribution) by mail to:

                  Note: Make a check payable to Project South/USSF

                  c) You will receive a mail or email confirmation of your registration


                  Online Registrations
                  To register online as individual:
                  a) Access the link: http://www.ussf2007.org/en/node/add/content_individual
                  b) Fill out the form and click on submit. Another window will open with a new form.
                  c) Fill out the new form called Billing Information with information about your credit or debit card and click on continue checkout..
                  Note: On Payment for, you have to put the amount you are willing to pay for your registration in a range of US$15 to US$100
                  d)click on continue checkout and follow the screen instruction

                  Organisation Registration:
                  See the fee for the organisation registrations (the organisation fee is good for three attendees)
                  Until May 1st,2007: $ 125 - $300

                  3. WSF 2007 Memory and Evaluations
                  During WSF 2007 volunteers of Memory project set up by organising committee have collected 160 short reports of activities, 150 feedbacks sheets, over 300 proposals for action.

                  After Nairobi WSF event, WSF2007 memory project is on going both on event site (www.wsf2007.org) and in process site (www.wsfprocess.net), as indicated by letter from Organising Committee joined below.

                  The WSF Memory Project Team advise you to contribute to live memory in both event and process sites at your convenience, and invite you to participate in the dynamics that may emerge around more than 300 proposals of actions presented on the 4th day in Nairobi.

                  In the course of next weeks, WSF2007 Memory Team will contact activity organisers about the documents they announced when met with volunteers from Memory Team during Nairobi forum. The Team will also contact those organisations having presented one of the 350 proposal on the fourth day of WSF2007.
