Hi Danielle,
Just posted a test to the newswire...it definitely works, and people
have posted a few things over the past few days. I don't see anything
new in the queue or in the place where people with admin access can drop
files. Please let him know that he's welcome to pass along his work to
me by email, and it makes sense to send it to a couple people for
redundancy. I'm sorry that happened to him, and I can't say for sure
that there was nothing wrong with the site, but I posted things last
night as an admin, and just now with no special credentials and it
worked. I'm especially bummed that his story is gone and he's probably
very frustrated. Maybe we can work something where one of us or even
another reporter calls him to take his story in his words? One
blogger/journalist we've been working with is eager for more stories and
I think she'd be ok with sharing a byline or being flexible in other
ways. I'm sure there are journalists both in and outside of IMC who
would be interested in making something work, if he's interested in
trying again. Also, you're welcome to pass my cell phone number to him
for sms support, which I'll send you privately. I can't guarantee I can
be available any time he makes contact, given the time difference, work
and class schedule, etc, but I will always do my best.
