Amy and all,
Thanks for the amazing work you are doing! Sorry for being absent from
the conversations but I have been reading the logs while travelling.
I second the idea of commitees, as a way to work towards Durban and
account for the different tasks assigned or to be assigned.
I will be based in Nairobi as of July and will reach out to John and
others there.
Once in Nairobi, I would like to help organizing the caravan that
could pick up people from Nairobi and other cities across Zibabwe,
Malawi, etc, down to Durban.
We could maybe create a Caravan commitee that can deal with that specific task.
I have a friend based in London who has had the experience to organize
a caravan in India with different activists from rural areas. He would
like to help out in this and other processes, so I have forwarded him
the material about the Durban convergence and once he gets a sense of
what is going on he will join the chat.
What do people in this list think about the caravan? And what do
people think in those countries where the caravan could travel to?
peace, monica
