[Imc-alaska] July 4th Appeal

To all Anchorage-area progressive organizations:

I am writing to you today on behalf of the Elizabeth Peratrovich Club of the
Communist Party, USA. As always, on July 4th, our nation will celebrate its
independence. The United States was forged through the struggle of our
people against imperialism. However, two centuries later, our celebration is
used by some people as a confirmation of blind loyalty to a government which
pushes the same imperialist yoke onto other peoples that it fought so hard
to shrug off so long ago.

With this in mind, I would like to appeal to all progressive organizations
in the Anchorage area to join us in organizing a progressive Independence
Day celebration. We would like to form an organizing comittee with
representatives from any interested progressive groups. If you're
