BTW, http://calgary.indymedia.org/ and http://edmonton.indymedia.org/ are both still active and currently point to http://ender.indymedia.org/. That means Alberta could implement a province wide IMC similar to what we are contemplating here in BC (assuming 
the Calgary and Edmonton groups agree on how to handle questionable content).

That is, you could have one instance of the codebase, where the newswire is managed by all in Alberta, with three feature pages. One feature page for Calgary that calgary.indymedia.org points to (thus being the Calgary front page). One feature page for Edmonton that edmonton.indymedia.org points to. And one feature page, that's managed by all in Alberta, that alberta.indymedia.org points to. 

Like we are planning to do in BC, you could then have separate calendars for Calgary and Edmonton. For the Alberta front page, you could simply have two calendar links, one for the Calgary calendar and one for Edmonton's. 

A joint calendar that would reflect both Calgary and Edmonton calendar entries would be a possibility for the Alberta page too, but would take some programing to implement. We are considering implementing such a calendar on a BC front page at some point.

If a group starts in, say Lethbridge, you simply create another feature page and calendar that's for Lethbridge, apply for lethbridge.indymedia.org, point lethbridge.indymedia.org to the Lethbridge feature/front page, and away you go.
