Hey all,
I hope peops can step in and help with the ASF stuff!  Unfortunately, I
can't (being about 1,000 miles away and a confirmed pedestrian can be a
pain!).

On the list admin side of things, an email sent directly from me to
'thediscountpeasent' early today was refused by the Shaw mailserver.  So, I
feel I have to write the list to be sure he gets this.  Am also sending a
test email to 'wallybel' -- if it gets through that may mean something.  NB
that I did get an email from discountpeasent....

For list admin, it can be useful to sign people in with more than one
account if they use the accounts equally (usually this is done to allow
someone to use both a home and work machine to send to a list).  The member
or the admin can mark one account as 'no mail' and the member won't get two
copies of everything -- if that's prefered.  However, I don't 'encourage'
people to use two accounts unless necessary.

Best of luck with getting things through the ether, Wally.  I've sometimes
found ISPs change their software a bit (upgrade... or degrade?) and that the
result can be a series of errors until they work things out.  I once had to
delete my account (on my machine) and reload the ISP's software as if
starting the account for the first time.  Still have no idea why that
worked.

I have heard word that CHUM bought (or will soon buy) Shaw and Craig Media
holdings west of Manitoba.  That should have no effect on service at all,
but maybe there's some corporate wrench dropped into the gears....
