[Imc-alternatives] a start with content

Imc-alternatives,

I took the day today to get a start putting content on the 
alternatives.tikimedia.org site.  I basically was able to get the body of 
the old PhillyIMC alternatives feature on there in fairly organized 
sections.  I culled the broken links so most of what's there works.  Take a 
look.  (if you like the white-background site design rather than black you 
can change the display view by going to "options" on the left of the page).

There's a lot of information in the feature but each section is still 
woefully inadequate.  Plus, the feature was written a while ago and a lot 
of stuff has happened since then.  (for example, it was written before 
Wikipedia was so huge.)  Someday maybe each page will be a wiki and 
hundreds of people will be working on each one.  hee hee!!

So, it's a start.  I'll spend the next day I'm able to steal on posting 
articles and links to sympathetic sites to the newswire, as well as working 
on an allies list and making everything look prettier.  No need to wait for 
me though!  The newswire is open and it works, thanks to magius and 
qwerty!  Post post post whatever alternatives-related information you like.

When you post, of course, let's try to keep the focus very specifically on 
alternatives -- viable, proven ones if possible, but ideas and theories are 
good too.  I don't think this would be the place for reports about 
protests, etc.  But we can talk about the specifics of content later....
