[Imc-alternatives] lists for outreach

Hi Alisa, everyone,

Now that the text of the PhillyIMC alternatives feature is up on 
http://alternatives.tikimedia.org I'm feeling more confident about starting 
to do outreach to get people involved in the content-building aspects of 
this project (the editorial working group).

In the past we've talked about a two-tiered outreach strategy.  First, we'd 
get in touch with people we know and trust personally and ask them 
individually to be part of the project.  Then, when we've developed a 
really solid foundation for an editorial group, we would reach out as far 
and wide as possible by sending invitations to general lists like the ones 
Alisa suggested.   We'd do this to help keep growth managable, adding one 
or two people at a time rather than an unlimited number of people at 
once.  I for one have just about enough time for an editorial working group 
that builds bit by bit, but may not be able to keep up with an onslaught of 
interest.

How are others feeling about this?

Alisa, are there particular individuals who are active on the PGA lists you 
think would be interested in becoming involved in this project?  Maybe we 
could start by contacting them directly rather than sending out general 
announcements.
