[Imc-alternatives] Website Barn-raising day?

Hey all,

Happiest to hear about how far along Philly IMC is with their new
website since Boston is at about the same place with our own Drupal
site.

http://boston.devel.indymedia.org/

Wondering if anyone would be interested in setting up a day or weekend
to have a code sprint or sorts, trying to bang out the last of the
work that needs to be done on both sites. Boston has a good tech
department but like so many others we're all people with day jobs so
could use a little help with dividing that work and getting this
online. Also could be a case where Philly has figured out some of the
things we're stuck on or has some ideas about how to get things done
with certain modules -- I think it's important that as people are
moving forward independently we begin to reel all this in so we're not
duplicating work or making poor decisions.

Would anyone be interested? One weekend or a couple Sundays where we
could all be on IRC, have some wikis or tracs on what needs to get
done, and just plow through the bugs? I know this list has had the
excitement about starting up these projects but perhaps finishing
these two sites, other than simply having another couple solid Drupal
sites in the Indymedia portfolio, would perhaps make a good launching
point to move forward with a cohesive strategy and install profile for
other IMCs looking to do the same.

Boston, I know, would like to have this thing online by the end of the
summer, so the sooner the better!

Thanks,

Rob
