[Imc-alternatives] weekly check-in

I like this idea. I'd suggest a weekly check-in, and a more serious IRC
meeting with an agenda once a month. How about that?
I've been skimming the entire email-list archive, and one thing I've
noticed is how the activity of this group of people is very sporadic.
There have never been regular meetings, and having a regular meeting
would I think be very useful to keep things going at a steady pace.
It might be useful to try having international conference calls with
real phones for the once per month meeting? Conference calls are more
personable and more accessible to the less tech-savy. You can get free
conference calls from freeconferencecall.com - the cost would be the
international rate to calling the US (probably getting pretty affordible
these days) (or domestic rate within the US).
Between having regular meetings, creating a demonstration philly-imc
site (and other people should feel free to create other local
alternative-imc sites), and having a fixed group of people dedicated to
getting this to happen - I think we have a better framework for success
than this group has had in the past several years.
