[Imc-alternatives] weekly check-ins?

It is generally much better to use an actual IRC client, rather than using
the web interface. Personally I just use Chatzilla, the firefox plugin.

A friend (Mamading who I think is on this list too) recently put together:
http://wiki.espians.com/Chatzilla_Howto

Of course, under step 9 irc://irc.eu.freenode.net/esp should be replaced
with irc://irc.indymedia.org/alternatives

Otherwise, you can type (in chatzilla):

/server irc.indymedia.org

To connect to the Indymedia IRC server, and then

/join #alternatives

To join the alternatives channel.
