[Imc-alternatives] weekly check-ins?

This is a really good idea.  After all my urging for us to use non 
e-mail other means to talk to each other, I've been one of the least 
present people in the alternatives IRC room, so I'll change that.  I 
admit my instinct isn't to be on IRC, but I'll fight instinct and 
start getting into the alternatives room when I'm online.

Does everyone know how to get to #alternatives"?  (correct me, 
anyone, if these instructions are wrong).
Point your browser to "https://chat.indymedia.org".  There will be an 
empty text box up top that says "Extra Channels." Type 
"#alternatives" there.  Below there will be a list of the most 
popular chat rooms.  The "indymedia" box will automatically have a 
checkmark in it.   Unchceck the "indymedia" box if you don't want to 
be in that room.  Then, click "chat."
