Hi alternatives IMC,

I spoke with Nick on the phone for a few minutes this
week.  (hi nick)  He's still getting settled after
moving, but should have regular internet access soon
and plans to start working on some design ideas for
the site. 

I blabbered to him for a while about developing a
design that balances news content with the networking
and knowledge-base components of our vision.  He said
he'll look more at our documents and maybe ask some
questions about the project, then come up with some
basic mock-ups.

We weren't sure to what level people on this list want
to be involved with the design.  Nick is open to
positive collaboration, but I wasn't positive we'd
have too much active discussion until there is a
mock-up for us to (respectfully) pick to pieces.
