[Imc-alternatives] DESIGN: summary of design/development irc meeting

Hi all,

Josh, Nick, Michael and I just had a great IRC meeting to talk about 
Alternatives site development and design.  I just posted the log.

We now have a basic timeframe for the rollout of a very simple yet 
functional test site:

May 4: Wireframes.
May 18: Design sketches.
June 8: Initial site implementation

The test site will be in Drupal and will use the PhillyIMC drupal 
code as a jumping off point.  For the moment it will be hosted on 
Vox, the PhillyIMC's server.

recent e-mails to this list about the sitemap, for sitemap thoughts 
and suggestions.  We're going to start with a basic menu consisting 
of four items:
-- Main page (traditional indymedia news)
-- Knowledge base
-- Category pages (at first using categories from the old alternatives feature)
-- Network (at first using simple networking elements from drupal, 
then eventually integrating crabgrass.)

Nick will send an e-mail soon to invite everyone into the 
wireframe-making process that's going to he taking place over the next week.

This is all very exciting!
