[Imc-alternatives] update

Hi imc-alternatives,

A quick sort-of update.  I know there hasn't been much talk on the 
imc-alternatives list lately.  I've been communicating off-list with 
Josh, Ryan and just recently Elijah from Riseup/Crabgrass about 
various ways to finally get ot the implementation phase of this 
project.  I'll give a summary of that chatter soon.

The reason I haven't been giving constant updates about those 
discussions is that we've had so many posts about various theoretical 
code-related things on this list and my sense is that more and more 
of that will continue to suck out our energy.  There should soon be 
practical information to report.

If you have any thoughts or ideas about the next steps, or especially 
reactions to Ryan's last couple posts to this list, please post here 
or let me know you'd like to be part of the implementation discussions.

Sorry to be so vague.  I've been feeling kind of vague lately.
