Zaadz got brought out by gaiam.com hence the name change.

As for solutions sounding elitist/vanguardist I can see where you're coming
from but I totally disagree.

It annoys me when so many people who DO have knowledge about real solutions
(I've seen their bookshelves) constantly say "I don't have all the
solutions" in an attempt to be open and inclusive (this, I believe, is out
of our deepest fear, as Ghandi put "that we are powerful beyond measure").

Well, of course they don't have ALL the solutions; there are no one solution
fits all but we DO have LOTS of solutions to current global problems and
that is what I believe the site should be focussed on.

We are not alternative. As David Korten says:

"We are not representatives of an alternative fringe minority. We are the
cutting edge of a national and global supermajority and it is appropriate
for us to speak with a clear and confident voice"

Some examples of solutions:

Problem -> Solution
Corporate tyranny -> Co-operatives
Private Land Ownership -> Community Land Trusts
Debt-based monetary system -> Mutual credit systems
Microsoft monopoly -> Linux
Bankrupt farmers -> Community Supported Agriculture
GM Monoculture -> Organic farming
Oil dependency -> stop wasting so much energy and harness a mix of
renewables
etc. etc.

You see, lots of very well established solutions DO exist.

Surely our job is to share and spread them far and wide to inspire radical
change?

Worldchanging.com is right:

"real solutions already exist for building the future we want. it's just a
matter of grabbing hold and getting moving"

Josef.
