I don't see why the name of the topic would need to be the same on all
the sites. It would have to produce a _feed_ for that _topic_ on the
local site. The IMC Alt site would just have to pull that feed in what
ever the topic title might have been on the local site.

For topic mapping your probably going to have to disregard the
'alternatives' and similar topics anyway - as almost everything on the
IMC Alt site will be in that topic ;)
