[Imc-alternatives] decision-making software?

Hi Alternatives,

Thinking about the site naming vote...
One thing we've talked about is connecting the alternatives site with
some open-source software that helps organizations like this very
imc-project that do a substantial amount of on-line organizing come
to internal decisions by sharing proposals, collecting
votes/conducting straw poles and finding a way to get to
consensus. Does anyone know of software that helps groups do
that? Are those tools available through drupal modules or on
websites people know? I know there are corporate decision-making
tools but they may not apply as much to consensus-based
groups. Crabgrass offers the ability to rate ideas and keep track of
tasks. That's part of what I'm talking about, but not the whole picture.

As I've said before, if the imc-process list had used a public and
transparent software tool that had allowed us to track proposals and
responses from local IMCs our decision-making process would have been
exponentially better. If someone knows of software like this maybe
we could use it for the name decision.

Jay
