[Imc-alternatives] Name Game decision: deadline, May 30?

I personally think it would be best to stick with alternatives, and my
only other second choice is "solutions." The upside to the alternatives
project is that it will offer the kinds of information and newsreels that
reflect the kinds of positive happenings in the world, which could be said
to be a new and exciting adventure for Indymedia.

Rather than merely reporting or presenting what people are against, we are
presenting what people are for, what kinds of workable solutions or
creative alternatives people are coming up with for social, economic,
media, technical, ecological, etc, scenarios. I also don't think radical
is a good choice because it will alienate rather than invite.

But, as I have said before, "alternatives" has a name now within
Indymedia, and I think it would be bad to change it at this point--and I
think "alternatives" is very fitting for the extent to which this project
will offer the communities at large.
