The Philly IMC is a good resource to ask about Drupal newswire stuff
too. At least a couple of the PhillyIMC's techies are on this list,
but I could also pass along specific questions.
The last time I talked with them they were confident that all the
stuff we want to do on the site can be done, at least in basic terms,
in Drupal. They've only done the newswire part though, so the other
stuff would be uncharted territory.
My instinct is to set up the news and news main page first, then roll
out the others once we establish a substantial amount of
content. Having a lot of amazing content on the site would make
convincing organizations to join the networking section and add to
knowledge base a whole lot easier.
