[Imc-alternatives] checklist toward next step of site

Hi Alternatives,

Here's a checklist, off the top of my head, of things we need to do
before starting to show off our beta site. Please modify and add to this list.

TECH:
-- Overlay theme/design on current site

-- Open publishing: Assuming we're going to add the Knowledge and
Networking parts of the site later, what else do we need at the
immediate moment? Do we need to add anything to make the open
publishing wire functional or is the barebones wire working? It
seems to be working, though I haven't done a test. (are there spam
catchers in place?)

-- Logins: A couple questions about logins: Are there currently login
levels? Are there aministrators and regular site visitors who can
login? When regular visitors login, what do they get? Who has admin
login access? (side note: I had a really hard time reading the
captcha letters on the "create an account" page and had to try
several times before getting the right ones.)

-- Search?/List of categories: We shoud we add a search function
and/or a way for people to access articles from each of the categories.

What else?

Thanks so much Robbt and Dave for getting this going. Anyone out
there with Drupal knowhow, NOW is your time to jump in.

CONTENT:
-- agree on editorial policy and how we'll discuss editorial
decisions (an imc-alternatives-editorial e-mail list?)
-- solidify group of newswire checkers and editorial volunteers
-- agree on taxonomy
-- a starting feature or two (the alternative economics story Strypey
proposed sounds like a perfect start)
-- content content content

Anything else?
Jay
