Hi,
My response is, predictably, yes yes yes! I agree that haivng the
weekly chats made an 100% difference in our energy and communication
level. So yes yes yes!
For the next six weeks or so I'll be computer-accessible most
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays during the day Philadelphia-time and
most of the evening, except 7 to 9pm when I'm putting the kids to
sleep. In mid-June that my schedule will change, but I should still
be able to prioritize to get to IRC at the appropriate
times. Stypey, when is good for you? Just suggest a time next week
on Monday, Thursday or Friday and I should be able to do it.
I obviously still believe in the potential of this project and still
don't see anything out there that does what we plan to do. I'm
excited to get started with the vision we have, than equally excited
to grow and change as the world does.
I know weekly chats may seem like a lot, especially if there's not
much forward code motion at the moment (though Z, if you're coding
today at all, bravo!), but I think we've found the more momentum we
have the more people join in the fun and therefore spread the work
around. For that reason I actually like the idea of doing weekly
chats right now better than fortnightly. I'd certainly be able to
hang out online an hour each week for the forseeable future. So,
Strypey, if you're game for that too, I think we should be able to
get (and finally maintain!!) momentum and build up an active group again.
