Much work today was done on the dev site, big thanks to zwarg and gregory.

All three newswires and center column features "panels" now work.  The
top "panel" is looking pretty good, and adding those layout tweaks to
the others should be simple.

There's a super-simple way to make articles featured, it's called
"Nodequeue", and it's really great - especially for setting not just
what are features, but which features are on the front page.

There's some "organic groups" functionality - this stuff is
tremendously flexible, and can encourage lots of cool collaborative
mini-networks among site users, but it's going to take people playing
around with it to figure it out:

The Network section right now does a few cool things - user profiles
and group profiles will show up there, and they can use the same
categories and tags as other kinds of content.  You can also specify
an rss or atom feed for a user or a group, and then stuff they post
there will show up on the alternatives site - inheriting whatever tags
or categories are on their profile.

Still to do: lots, which I don't have time to write up right now.  I
suggest folks enter suggestions/bugs/requests into the openplans task
