[Imc-alternatives] Anyone keen Irc Chat this week?

Kia ora koutou

Just got back yesterday from 10 days of learning Vipassana meditation.
After an hour's meditation this morning, I am feeling a clarity I've
never experienced before. It's as simple and universal as observing
one's own respiration and bodily sensations, observing the truth of
one's own direct experience of reality (whatever that is ;). I highly
recommend it for anyone!

Anyway, my coding skills are not yet up to really contributing anything
to the code sprint this weekend, and chances are I'll either be at a
pagan festival in Waihi, or a permaculture hui in Te Tai Tokerau.
However, I'm sure there are heaps of non-geek tasks that need doing (ed
policy, content etc), so maybe we could make that the broad agenda for
the next chat?

So, if anyone is keen for another irc chat this week (Monday night US
time, Tuesday avo Aotearoa time), I can expect I can make it by 2:30pm
my time (10:30pm Philly time). I finished upgrading K9, my laptop, to
the latest version of Ubuntu (9.04) yesterday, so hopefully no technical
difficulties this time ;)

In fact, how about we schedule a geek chat every fortnight, and an
editorial chat every fortnight? If we use the same day/ time, and make
them alternate weeks, that means a chat every week for those who are
really keen (I'm looking at you Jay ;)

BTW My faith in the power of Indymedia has been thoroughly boosted. I
came out of 10 days of seclusion, and without having to look at any
mainstream media, I could go straight to our own news site and see that
on the day I got home, hundreds (maybe thousands) of people committed to
civil disobedience, and walked and cycled across the vehicle-only
Auckland Harbour Bridge:

Kotahi te aroha ki a koutou
One love to you all
