Hi All
Here is some information I received from Paul Bruce. To record these
talks and to have them there for community radio would be excellent. If
anyone had the time and energy for that it would be great. Perhaps the
organisers could get their own recordings and make them available? The
Green Party Conference was recorded by the Green Party, so if there were
any interesting discussions on Peak Oil and Climate Change and the like,
then it could be a useful to have that there for community broadcasters
too. I assume that others are already thinking about the important ECO
Conference and preparing for it all, but I send this information as a
further prompt and reminder on it.
Thank you very much Aaron for the work you did with last year's Ecoshow.
I'm listening to the work you did at the moment - it's currently airing
to Melrose and to Kilbirnie and to Mirmar on Critical Analysis
Broadcasting in Wellington, as I write. The 2005 Ecoshow items are
brilliant.
Ian

Dear all,
Apologies for any cross postings.
Here is the latest version of the programme of the ECO Conference Living
Sustainably - Taking Charge of the Future and the registration form. We
would appreciate it if you could circulate this widely and encourage
people to come. The conference will be held at the Waharau Outdoor
centre -it is set in regenerating forest and has views over the Hauraki
Gulf. There are bunkrooms on site, otherwise a variety of accommodation
within a few km of the site - and hot pools at the end, and/or should
you wish, bushwalks or watching the shorebirds at Miranda.
The dates are 30 June-2 July. The evolving programme and other details
including options for transport to the area will be posted on the ECO
website at www.eco.org.nz
This is open to people from NGOs, government, local government and the
public, except for any session the chair declares to be in closed
session (probably not something that will happen).
Please pass this on to those who may be interested, and encourage
students to come along - there is a special cheap rate for students.
See you there,
Cath Wallace
