Came across a few interesting projects this week. The first is a bunch of videos
about CreativeCommons. There are some which explain what CC is all about and a
few others including the winners of video competitions they have run:

R2 is a digital media company based in Aotearoa, as far as I can tell in Poneke
(Wgtn). They have video-taped a bunch of public events and put them on the web
for anyone to watch. They also offer to record events so if you have any
suggestions for things you want recorded get in touch with them.

StrayCinema is one of a new breed of movie production companies that make all
the raw material for their movie online under a CreativeCommons license so other
people can mix and edit their own versions and derivative works. This makes even
more sense for activist documentaries than it does for entertainment movies as
it allows film-makers from different interest groups to frame the issue in
different ways:
