Kia ora koutou

I forgot to mention the coolest thing about the CreativeCommons videos. Three of
them are available in Ogg Theora! (http://www.theora.org/), the video equivalent
of Ogg Vorbis (http://www.vorbis.com).

The Ogg framework is a set of open multimedia file formats created by the
non-profit Xiph(.org) Foundation. Unlike .mp3 and other patented formats anyone
can use Ogg formats for anything they like without paying any royalties and get
involved in the ongoing development and improvement of the formats just like any
open source project.

I've been aware of Theora for quite a while but it's only recently I've started
seeing playable files appearing on the web using the format. The next project is
to figure out what software to use to make Theora video files.
