Kia ora koutou,
If anyone has access to a working printer and photocopying
it would be great to get a bunch of Indymedia leaflets made
up to distribute from the Commons, the new activist space
above Trax on Vic St.
Here is a .pdf of a leaflet made by the Windymedia group in
Welly here:
http://docs.indymedia.org/view/Aotearoa/AotearoaDesign
It's designed to be a 2-sided A5 leaflet. The first page is
fine but the second page will need the info about Windymedia
removed and replaced with some info about Waikato
Indymedia.
The problem is except for the two video showings organised
last year, the radio station (still in the works) and out
participation in setting up the Commons space, we don't have
anything to say about local organising.
I propose we have a meeting Sunday week (July 24) at the
Waikato Environment Centre (we will be able to book the WEC
under the umbrella of the Commons). There we can talk about
what sort of projects the Waikato Indymedia should consist
of and what needs to be done to make them happen. I would
really like to organise a showing of Auckland AIM's "Whose
News" here for example. We can also confirm a regular
meeting slot (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, whatever) and
talk about how to promote Indymedia in Hamilton and get more
people involved.
Thoughts?
