hi everyone...this is nancy from the newly forming
korea IMC. i am canadian and i have been living off
and on in south korea for 5 years. <<i visited
australia in 2002/2003 and i know andy from IMC
melbourne from that time. hiya andy :) >>

i have been somewhat active in the migrant worker's
struggle here...more so in the past than now. i did
international solidarity work for the ETU-MB, korea's
only migrant worker union. this union has had the shit
absolutely kicked out of it during the last year and a
half, politicised disposable labour poses a danger to
reactionary nationalistic forces here (and
everywhere).

as you can imagine, i am very interested in migrant
worker issues. 

i am married to one founders of the union...he has
"gone underground" (he's high on immigration's
blacklist) and i have also been laying fairly low
while we wait for his permanent residence visa for
canada. this will hopefully happen sometime in the
summer wherupon we will start a new life in canada. 

it's so nice to meet you all! and i am looking forward
to building solidarity with you and hopefully getting
to know you better.
