Hello!

I tried to contact you late last week, regarding a letter to the editor project we're undertaking with respect to the State of the Union Address this week. I hope you'll be able to help us out - it would be greatly appreciated!

While I realize this is short notice, ideally these would be submitted soon after tonight's speech to local newspapers, keeping the main points intact while tailoring it with respect to what the President says during his address.

I've attached a template letter with which to work. Again, if you have an organizational affiliation that you're comfortable including with your name, that would be wonderful.
