I found a couple of articles about the PNN's plan for a Peoples Media
Center and The Peoples Press Room. It looks like a great project:
Another world (of media production) is possible (2 diff stories with the
same title):

There is a part of me that want to make sure we have our shit together
before we go to other people asking for/ offering help. We have very
little idea how many IMCers will be attending the USSF, If we will need or
be able to provide facilities to produce media, if we need or will be able
to provide money.
Its been my expierience that many progressive groups in the south,
particularly POC lead, are territorial, and I would like to make a good
impression on them especially in terms of knowing what we need and can
offer. At this moment I dont know if anyone other than 3 of us from the
Houston IMC collective that are going from the IMC network.
These things said, I am probably blowing my concerns out of proportion. It
would be really helpful to know if PNN and the Peoples Media center have
secured a space, if they need help staffing (and if there would even be
room for more people to work out of there), and if they would be intrested
in collaborating.
If they are open to collaborating and we would not a drain on their
resources, I think this would be less stressful than starting from scratch
as well as a great chance to meet some new media activists, and concretly
help out the USSF and spread the word about IMC at the same time.
QUESTIONS:
Is there anyone in Atlanta (or elsewhere) who has contacts with PNN?
Is there anyone on the US List who would be intrested in making contact
with PNN and/or being a liason?
Who on this list is planning on attending the Social Forum?
