We're writing to encourage your video submissions for this month's
Indymedia NewsReal.

In case you're not familiar with the project, the NewsReal is a 30-minute
news program assembled by independent journalists worldwide and broadcast
monthly on Free Speech TV satellite. We welcome submissions from
organizations and individuals that report on people taking action to
achieve progressive social, environmental and economic justice around the
globe.

The program is also screened at local IMCs and other community centers
across the country. We accept 5-minute news segment submissions, and FSTV
pays $50 per segment that is aired.

The deadline for submitting to the October NewsReal is Thursday, September
15th, so please send your segments soon. Late arrivals will be included in
next month's program.

Subscriptions of our program are available in 6 or 12 month subscriptions

**  Archive Volunteer Needed!  **

The IndyMedia Newsreal is looking for a volunteer to help with digital
archive encoding for our website! We need someone who is interested in
helping us feature this unique and alternative news on the net for anyone
and everyone to see! This job would include converting our monthly show
from miniDV format to 54k mp4, pal vcd (mpeg1), ntsc vcd(mpeg1), ntsc dvd
(mpeg1) and pal dvd, then uploading to the internet archive.
