[Imc-auckland-events] Fwd: Show and Tell!

Hi all,

So, the good folks from the Auckland free space collective want to start a
kind of free school, and we're calling it *Show and Tell*.....

The deal is, interested people vollunteer themselves to research a
(fascinating) topic of THEIR CHOICE, and give a 20 minute-ish presentation
about it, to us all!

Sounds like fun right?!

We are hoping to get 2 people to volunteer themselves within the next 2
weeks, and to come up with a topic that is either practical skill sharing,
or theoretical, serious, or totally obscure funny....
The sky is the limit really, as far as subject matter, from mushroom growing
to the Spanish civil war to monkeys to the rapture, its all interesting. The
point is to gain confidence to self educate, and to speak in public, not to
be experts!
We also want volunteers who would be willing to be assigned a random subject
(that we pick out of a hat) to research and give a 10 minute presentation
on.

Lets take back our education!!

*13th May Wednesday at 7.30 at Cityside 8 Mt Eden Rd.*

   randomly assigned something to research and talk about.
