Names on door are only those who actually help physically set up screening
usually and are there b4 it starts
I guess filmmakers too - but otherwise we'd have 50 people who could claim
some reason for having their name on the door
$5 is not a lot of money for a screening and party is it? My 2 cents.
Sacrifice? But then the titles on the doco say slave girls don't they? Can't
remember.
Does someone want a logo behind them? Yikes. Not sure how to do that.

Was just reading tony's emails and saw that they wanted to call the
slave girls doco Sacrifice instead.
I was also wondering if we got back to him about the number of names we
were going to put on the door?
The other thing was the still logo that they wanted to use as a back
drop to the speakers - can we use a jpg on a cd in the DVD player or do
we have to work on something else?
Cheers

Dear Chloe, Kim, Ants and Indymedia,
Hope you guys are all good.
Following the HRFF Auckland committee meeting the following points were
discussed;
1) A speaker is requested to be permitted to inform people of the Human
Rights Network, under which the Human Rights Film Festival is being
organised. Name of speaker to be notified. Their aim is to speak
primarily about the Human Rights Network.
2) I myself, Tony would like to speak (not really but have been
nominated) and introduce the HRFF, notify people of dates, venues, and
the ability to register for information. We would like to utilise a
small table and begin compiling a mail out list, if this is OK. Also on
a technical point we would like to project a still image of the HRFF
Logo whilst this information is being conveyed. We have this on a
computer disc, will this be playable on the DVD player?
3) Tinmama, the girl from Glenn Innes, would like to make a general
introduction for the Burmese and Karen group present and the movies to
be screened. The Burma group would like to hold a stall also on the day.
Am not sure at this stage how many people will be present. Would you
like me to indicate a limit of free admissions, or are you happy to
allow as many people as may turn up in?
4) Could it be stated in any promotional material/mailouts that 'A Girl
from Glen Innes' has been produced as an "educational" documentary,
specifically for NZ Social Studies curriculum. Years 8-13. It was
produced to satisfy certain criteria and is therefore not shot as a
documentary. This is a request from Jude Smith the filmmaker. Thank you.
5) The film which you have titled as 'Slave Girls', does actually have
two working titles. The preferred title the filmmaker and the HRFF would
like the film screened under is 'SACRIFICE'. If this could be noted for
all mail outs and publicity material. Thanks.
6) As per your request a mail out through the HRN will take place to
help promote the event. Would you provide an e-flyer for this or should
we just use the information given in previous correspondence regarding
the program of films being shown?
7) I would like to arrange for an exchange of material as I now have 'A
Girl from Glen Innes' on DVD for use at the screening. I would like to
collect the material which is not being screened to be returned to the
HRFF for safe keeping. A pick up from the GREEN PARTY office is the most
convenient for me, how does this fit in with you guys?
Am not sure if there are any points I have missed but if I do think of
anything else then I will be in touch. Thanks again for supporting the
idea of a HR theme and look forward to a good party.
Cheers
tony
