Hey all
Back from wgtn - together with Blair the intrepid, personable anarchist got
some good anti-racism march footage and interviews which people down there
are cutting up - hopefully in time for a snippet to show in december
screenings.
Also, Abi gave me her 55 minute documentary "Te Whanau o Aotearoa", which I
can dub off and pass around for programming consideration
Oceania indymedia newsreal 3 will be produced in January next year - be good
if we could include a 10 minute Voters Voice clip in that
I need to focus on university until the thesis is done - we've got a
template though for the study guide and distribution which I can aim to help
out with in feb/march.
Re. Transcript payments...
I'm a bit ambivalent - can see the incentivising logic of it, but as one of
the people who have done a lot of voluntary work for nothing over the years
(and it could readily be argued my student loan would be a lot less
otherwise), I'm not sure why people would want to be paid.
Perhaps this is something we can address with the next project-if there's
still felt to be the need?
Chloe, I thought any money you contributed to "Plan B Peace" was last-resort
but welcome bridging finance and it had all been paid back - if not, then I
reckon it needs to be - perhaps if you could map out how much that is then
we know where we are with it all.
I've been keeping records of Whose News cost and expenditure, and over the
next couple of weeks I'll try to send an update of where we're at. Orders
are still slowly trickling in - it's looking as though documentary money
will cover at least another two such projects
More soon,
G
