HI there, on behalf of the Indymedia team that is currently producing a
documentary on why people aren't motivated to be active & take part in
voting, politics, etc., we are needing some urgent help.

We need some keen beans, preferably fast typers, who can use us do what
is called TRANSCRIBING - that is, writing out in a WORD document what
has been filmed or said on videotape. We have about 28 hours of footage
that has be transcribed - interview with people like Banks, Hubbard,
Fletcher. We're about a third way through of it, but need your help. We
know there a lot of people on this email loop and we know that people
often ask: "What can I do to help? How can I get involved" - here's one
way. Computer & video player very helpful but if not, you can use ours.
Anyone willing and able much appreciated.

It has to be done urgently because as part of our funding grant from
Auckland's City's Creative Communities Funding, we agreed to have the
doco done by the end of this year. Also, given that it includes the
story of the recent local body elections, it would be good to get to out
in a timely manner so the story isn't old news.

We offer a chance to take part in a cool project and your name in the
credits of the documentary (and some thank you drinks & stuff like entry
to our next film screening.)

Please Call Chloe 377-6258 or Kim 361-5925 to help or find out more or
email us and we can either get a tape to you and/or you can take part in
our transcribing day the weekend of Sat Nov 13th and Sun 14th where we
will be doing it as a team.

We look forward to Thanks so much - !
